Rapid grocer Getir has secured a deal with Nisa Retail to stock a range of about 300 Co-op own-label products.
The new range is being piloted at six of Getir’s dark stores from today, with plans to expand to additional locations in the coming months.
The 300 lines from Nisa – the wholesale division of the Co-op Group – cover ambient and fresh, including ready meals, fresh meats, and fruit & veg. It is the first time Getir has offered own-label, non-brand products.
Dark stores piloting the range from today are Battersea, Earl’s Court, Seven Sisters, Balham, Tottenham and Bethnal Green.
The tie-up would “massively increase the choices available for Getir’s customers” Getir said, and support the company with its “customer-first mission and rapid growth across the UK”.
“Building a successful grocery business is all about building trust,” said Getir UK general manager Kristof Van Beveren.
“As we see more and more UK consumers choosing to buy their groceries on demand – saving time while buying freedom – feedback from our customers across the country revealed a need for even more fresh products to fulfil larger shopping missions. We listened.”
Van Beveren said the deal had been brokered “after months of planning and hard work” by Getir head of buying and partnerships Neil Franklin, the company’s first hire in the UK, and former head of ambient at Ocado.

The own-label additions boost Getir’s total range, which had been at about the 2,000 SKU mark. Getir said it did not plan to deepen its deal with Nisa to include branded products, adding that it “maintains a wide variety of direct brand and wholesaler relationships”.
