Twickenham beer retailer and distributor Real Ale is poised to open its second store in north London this summer.
The outlet, on Formosa Street in Little Venice, will offer bottled beers and wines alongside draught keg lines. It will have a seated basement area for tasting and ‘meet the brewer’ events.
The neighbourhood was a “perfect fit” for the business, given its “close-knit community, large residential population and proximity to the Bakerloo line”, said store manager Tim Peyton.
“We will be spoilt for choice in range selection, as over the past couple of years over 60 craft breweries have opened up in London alone.”
Real Ale has relaunched its website with a look to coincide with the opening, offering customers free delivery on beers within the local area.
Plans are underway to brew a small-batch beer to commemorate the opening, called Formosa Pale Ale, in collaboration with the local Moncada Brewery.
Real Ale has supplied beer to M&S since 2007. In April, it announced the expansion of its deal with the retailer into stores across Ireland and Northern Ireland.
