Ruddles Ale has dropped its trademark oak-tree logo as brewer Greene King rebrands the beer in its ongoing efforts to tempt more drinkers into the real ale category.
The tree has been replaced with a horseshoe, the symbol of England's smallest county, Rutland.
"The new design has the distinctiveness that loyal Ruddles drinkers love and the horseshoe highlights the beer's rural, Rutland heritage," said Neil Jardine, take home and export director at the brewer.
Further marketing for the brand is promised, including the sponsorship of county shows.
