Booker has doubled the rebate it pays catering customers for recycling used cooking oil. Customers will now get 20p for each litre collected from their premises.
“We are delighted to be able to double the amount of rebate we give back to our customers,” said sustainability manager Catherine Marston.
“They have told us that they really value our used cooking oil recycling service as it makes a real difference to their bottom line. Recycling 20 litres of used oil brings the price of the fresh oil down by £4.”
Booker has collected five million litres of used cooking oil - which is converted into biodiesel - since it began the service in 2008.
