Western Wines is building on the success of its South African wine brand Kumala by developing its consumer advertising and revising the packaging.
It will make more of the brand icon, a cartoon gecko, which will feature in the advertising breaking next month.
The gecko will also be an integral part of a new design for the brand's three litre wine box which will go on shelf in the spring. The company is spending £2.2m on Kumala in 2002.
