Soft drinks bottler Refresco has promoted its North American finance chief to group CFO as Adee Packer steps down from the role and gives up his position on the board.
Bill McFarland joined Refresco in 2017 through its £935m acquisition of Cott Beverages, where he was CFO for four years leading up to the takeover.
He will take up the group finance role on 1 July.
McFarland has more than 20 years’ experience in the fmcg industry, including spells with Molson Coors.
Andre Voogt, M&A director for Refresco North America, will take over McFarland’s current role.
Voogt has been with Refresco for more than 15 years, mainly in senior finance roles.
When Refresco took its first steps in North America in 2016, Voogt led the local finance organisation. From 2018 to 2020, he was responsible for the integration of Cott Beverages into the group.
CEO Hans Roelofs said: “Bill and I have been working together ever since he came on board in 2018, and I look forward to working side by side going forward.
“We welcome Bill’s financial expertise, knowledge of our business and deep understanding of the beverage industry. Together with his strong leadership skills, I am confident that Bill will continue to support delivering Refresco’s strategic objectives.”
He also thanked Packer for his contribution to Refresco over the past year.
Earlier this year, Refresco, which makes own label juices and soft drinks for retailers and household brands all over the world, was acquired by US investment house KKR.
