Buckingham Vintners is launching its Reserve range with the aim of demonstrating outstanding examples of antipodean wines.
Building on the success of its Buckingham Estate range, the importer said it saw potential for development and believed the time was right to launch a reserve tier. First off the blocks is the Buckingham Estate Winemaker's 2002 Barossa Valley Cabernet-Shiraz, which has listings with Morrisons, with a price tag of £8.99. A series of premium limited edition parcels is set to follow.
"We are very pleased with the performance of the Buckingham Estate wines and are delighted to have the chance to list this parcel of the Winemaker's Reserve Cabernet-Shiraz," said Morrisons wine buyer Catherine Roffey.
The wines have been sourced by leading winemaker Simon Adams, who heads Buckingham Vintners Australia.
The UK-based company imports wines from all over the world.
