Mole Valley Farmers has unveiled a £1m refurbishment and extension of its store in St Columb, Cornwall, complete with a new regional food and drink department.
The farmers' co-operative, which was formed 49 years ago in north Devon, now has nine branches and an online shop.
Mole Valley's head of retail Jim Gillham said that trading was strong, despite the recession.
"Our farmers are attracting good prices for their products at the moment, so they are feeling reasonably buoyant. We have seen a lot of footfall through our doors."
