Ross Burgers have been revamped and given a simplified recipe to better reflect a ‘homestyle’ approach to cooking.
The frozen food supplier is re-launching both its 2oz and 4oz burgers with a more eye-catching packaging and clearer key messaging.
The new packaging, which hits Morrisons and Sainsbury’s shelves on 19 October, would help the products stand out in the freezer section and encourage mums that burgers are an adaptable and convenient product for the family, the company claimed.
“In recent times there has been a real shift back towards rustic cooking, with people more concerned than ever about the provenance of their food,” said marketing manager Anne Claypole. “This reflected our decision to alter the look and feel of the Ross Burgers, to create more homemade looking products and packaging, which would be well received by our large customer base, without increasing the price.”
