Ice cream manufacturer Richmond Foods has promoted Ibrahim Najafi to the newly created position of chief operating officer on the company’s board of directors.
Najafi was formerly operations director at Richmond for five years. During this time, he integrated five acquisitions, including that of Nestlé UK’s ice cream business in 2001 and The Ice Creamery in 2002, and was responsible for Richmond’s investment programme.
Brian Buchan also joins the
board at Richmond as non-executive director. Buchan was chief executive of SSL International between 2001 and 2004.
