Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall has teamed up with Cornish brewery Skinner’s to launch a beer under his River Cottage brand.
The River Cottage English Pale ale is available bottled (rsp: £2.50/ 500ml) and cask-conditioned for the on-trade.
It is the first food and drink product from River Cottage. The 4% abv beer has been made from hops and malted barley, and is being distributed direct to the off-trade by Skinner’s.
Another Cornish brewer, Sharp’s, has launched three premium 2013 ‘vintage’ ales. The Connoisseur’s Choice range comprises Honey Spice IPA (6.5% abv), Single Brew Reserve 2013 (4.5% abv) and Vintage Blend (7.4% abv).
