Robert Wiseman Dairies has acquired Scottish Milk Dairies, a subsidiary of First Milk, for £0.9m.
The acquisition, which is subject to an assessment of the volume of milk transferring, is expected to be completed in early September.
Scottish Milk Dairies currently supplies 10 million litres of milk per year, approximately 2% of fresh milk in Scotland, from its dairy and depot in Hamilton near Glasgow.
Robert Wiseman, chief executive of Robert Wiseman, said: “This acquisition will complement our existing operations and enhance efficiencies in central Scotland.”
