Nestlé Rowntree has appointed Vince Robinson, director of sales for Nestlé UK’s beverage division, sales director. He replaces Peter Basham who became director of export in February.
Basham was responsible for launching the company’s strategy to revitalise the confectionery market in August last year and has been critical of the commoditisation of the market.
His move follows the appointment of Sam Hunter as marketing director, replacing Andrew Harrison who left to become UK managing director of Müller Dairy.
The changes come in the wake of Chris White’s appointment in December as managing director. White was caught up in controversy soon after joining the company, with national press reports quoting him saying Nestlé Rowntree was “in crisis” - comments described by the company as having been taken out of context.
