Budgens has promoted Anna Roddis to the newly-created post of senior buyer for frozen foods, reporting to senior trading controller Steve Carter.
Roddis’ immediate focus will be on examining layout and range for frozen food as part of Budgens’ current cross-category range review. She said she would be looking at how to tailor the range to suit different store sizes: “We’ve identified we needed to review space allocation - it’s been about five years since we’ve done this. We’re at the early stages of planning at the moment and the process is going to take until next spring.”
After graduation, Roddis joined Budgens in September 1999 as a retail management trainee and became a buying assistant in January 2000.
Her move to frozen foods was in February 2002.
