Richmond Frozen Confectionery has appointed David Rowlands as director of impulse and foodservice. He will have responsibility for developing the independent, wholesaler and foodservice businesses for Treats and Nestlé brands. Rowlands was previously general manager of Nestlé Ice Cream before it was acquired by Richmond Foods. He was closely involved in Nestlé's worldwide sales strategy and is former vice-president of sales and marketing for Nestlé Ice Cream in Canada. He has more than 23 years' experience in ice cream and confectionery and has held senior sales, marketing and management posts with Nestlé and Rowntree, working with brands such as Kit Kat, Quality Street and Smarties.
