Safeway has delayed the opening of its new supermarket café concept in High Wycombe until the end of March or beginning of April.
The multiple hopes the concept due to be unveiled this month will set new standards by encouraging consumers to use the café even when they are not shopping. It said: "The delay is due to our testing things to make sure we get it right."
The instore restaurant may be called Café Fresco. A previous working title was Café Fresh.
The concept will also be introduced to the first of Safeway's new format superstores which is due to open shortly in Woking.
