Sainsbury has signed an exclusive deal with Allied Domecq to stock Harveys Pale Cream sherry.
The new line has been introduced on the back of sister brand Harvey's Bristol Cream sherry which, according to Allied, has grown by 27% in the last year.
Harveys Pale Cream is lighter in style and blended as an aperitif wine with a lower alcoholic strength. Paul Woodward, brand director of Harveys sherries at ADUK, said: "The pale cream sector is an important part of the sherry market in the UK, accounting for nearly 30% of category sales.
"We are anticipating that this special edition at Sainsbury, which is aimed at renewing interest in the pale cream sector, will drive incremental growth and profit during the important pre-Christmas period."
