Sainsbury and Asda are neck-and-neck on market share, data from TNS has revealed.
TNS said that in the four weeks to February 26, Sainsbury and Asda both had market share of 16.1%.
Justin King, chief executive of Sainsbury, earlier this week predicted that Sainsbury would overtake Asda as the UK's number two supermarket “within a couple of months”.
