Sainsbury’s is launching a new healthy food range, comprising over 65 products in January.
Called Flourish, the “nutritional” range comprises mostly brand-new products, spanning from snacks and smoothies to on-the-go lunch options and serves-one ready meals.
Snacks include the likes of Sea Salt & Black Pepper Crunch Mix, Indian Spiced Cauliflower Crackers and Beetroot Houmous (rsp: £1.45-£1.90).
A trio of smoothies targeted to specific health concerns – Mind, Energy and Immune – will also roll into stores (rsp: £2).
Three functional teas – Calm Infusion, Good for the Heart Infusion and Energise Infusion – will also hit shelves (rsp: £1.80).
The ready meal range includes both chilled dishes – such as Beef Lasagne and Jerk Chicken with Coconut Rice – and frozen options, such as Vegetable & Lentil Curry and Chicken Tikka (rsp: £1.60-£4).
A range of sandwiches, wraps and salads – including the likes of Middle Eastern Inspired Beetroot & Bulgur Wheat Salad, Lemon and Pesto Chicken Sandwich, and Chicken Shawarma Wrap (rsp: £1.95-£4) – will roll into the retailer as part of its £5 meal deal offer.
Two soups – Smoky Sweetcorn and Roast Red Pepper & Tomato – will also launch (rsp: £2.25).
The Flourish range will hit shelves in selected Sainsbury’s stores and online on 4 January 2023. Introductory offers will also be available on select products until 24 January.
As the new year approached, resolutions to eat better were “front of mind for many”, said Sainsbury’s.
The new Flourish range would “save the nation from boring meal prep and mundane dishes when busy and on the go” and make “sticking to healthy habits easier”, it added.
