Sainsbury’s has kicked off a search for local charities for its stores to support.
The supermarket chain is asking shoppers to nominate their favourite good causes until 15 May as part of its Local Charity scheme.
Individual stores will then shortlist three charities, picking one to fundraise and volunteer with throughout the year.
Sainsbury’s has raised more than £5m for local charities in the past year. It received more than 100,000 nominations for the scheme across its stores last year.
