Sainsbury’s has hailed the success of its recent own-label ‘Try the By Sainsbury’s range’ campaign.
The retailer launched the campaign - its biggest-ever own-label push - in May, with large amounts of PoS in stores highlighting the price of a brand with the price of its cheaper own-label equivalent next to it.
In a note to staff, outgoing CEO Justin King said: “We saw some great sales uplifts in store on products such as our delicious By Sainsbury’s Onion Chutney, and our JS advance razor with trimmer saw a 390% increase in sales! Over the summer months we will continue to talk to our customers about the great value we’re offering on key products.”
