Spanish lager San Miguel has been identified by Bulmers as one of its key drive brands alongside Strongbow cider.
A company spokesman said: "A lot of effort is being put behind the brand which has become one of the spearheads of the portfolio."
The cider maker is planning to back the brand with a TV campaign some time before Christmas, although details have yet to be finalised.
To keep the brand fresh the packaging has been redesigned.
A new look to the 330ml bottles was introduced earlier in the summer and this month its cans were also updated.
Bulmers said that the latest figures from ACNielsen showed the brand's volume was growing 54% year-on-year as a result of growing consumer demand and increased listings.
