Chile's second-largest wine exporter, the San Pedro Wine Group, has signed a UK distribution deal with Les Grands Chais de France, ending its 20-year relationship with Buckingham Vintners.
Both parties said they needed to "pursue individual objectives in the UK market". "We have enjoyed a long relationship with Buckingham Vintners," said Stuart Downes, export director of the San Pedro Wine Group.
"We now feel Les Grands Chais de France is in a better position to grow our business in the UK," he added. Les Grands Chais de France will look after the group's Chilean 35 South brand, the own label business and their Argentinian Finca La Celia label.
