Spar is giving its retailers free UKA-branded sports day kits to donate to local schools in the latest phase of its ongoing UK Athletics sponsorship deal.
The 2,500 kits each comprise two posters, four sets of 36 bibs, finishing tape, stickers for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place competitors and a CD containing artwork that can be printed out, including certificates.
Spar UK marketing manager Rebecca Whitmore said the kits had proved extremely popular with schools when they were last distributed in 2007.
"The sports day kits provide fantastic branding and association and are a great way for our retailers to get involved with local schools," Whitmore said. "The activity also highlights Spar's ongoing support of sport and a healthy lifestyle."
Spar has been an official sponsor of the UK Athletics team since 2004 and will continue its support until at least 2013.
