Coca-Cola is rebranding its recently acquired Abbey Well water brand as Schweppes Abbey Well early next year to "cash in on the respect of the iconic Schweppes brand".
Combined with the distribution capabilities of Coca-Cola, this would help "quickly make the bottled water available to a wider audience across the UK", the company said.
The Abbey Well purchase is the latest move by Coca-Cola to grow its presence in the UK water market. It already owns premium brand Malvern in the UK and Glaceau in the US .
