Lanarkshire pastry & pie maker Bells has launched Deep Filled Pies range.
Rolling out now, the two-strong lineup comprises chicken and mince & onion, both with puff pastry lids (rsp: £2/460g). Available in Bells’ new-look packaging meant to emphasise quality, the NPD has been created to tap growth in family eating occasions in the run up to Christmas.
It would satisfy consumer desire for “good quality, convenient, affordable meals”, according to brand MD Ronnie Miles.
The Deep Filled offering is set to be joined on shelf by the latest addition to Bells’ shell pie selection: Steak & Haggis (rsp: £1.25/two-pack).
The launches come as Bells more than doubled its pastry capacity in the summer, after completing the first part of a three-year £3.6m investment.
