A Scottish duo is targeting the impulse market with a cream liqueur brand aimed at women.
Priced at £1.99, the 13.9% abv Cream Cutie - a wine-based Chocolate Orange Cream Liqueur - contains no artificial colours or additives, according to Dumfries-based brand owners John and Anne Hempstock.
Unusually, it is packaged in an 187ml-sized bottle. “We think there is a market for consumers who don’t want to pay £10 or more for a large bottle of cream liqueur,” said Anne Hempstock.
The brand owners hit the headlines in 2000 with their Wee Beastie brand, which continues to attract consumers in Scotland. “Our philosophy is simple,” said Anne. “We use natural ingredients and focus on getting the flavour just right.”
