The Scottish Wholesale Association is collaborating with efficiency specialists The Algorithm People and Auditel as it continues its push to reduce emissions in the wholesale industry.
Newcastle-based business The Algorithm People specialises in route optimisation, fleet scheduling and electric vehicle optimisation, while Auditel focuses on carbon reduction and cost management.
As part of the new partnership with SWA, members will recieve discounted fees to access The Algorithm People’s award-winning My Transport Planner fleet optimisation platform, which uses algorithms to boost efficiency by routing and scheduling vehicle deliveries and collections.
The business said clients using the platform had experienced improved productivity, reduced fuel cost and lower emissions of around 20%.
Auditel will also be working with SWA members to help them achieve sustainable change and carbon reduction through its expertise in procurement and carbon management.
Both companies will participate in a special SWA webinar on 31 August aimed at helping members cut costs and reduce carbon emissions.
“Our association is committed to supporting our members on their journey to a more environmentally sustainable future, so we are delighted to be collaborating with The Algorithm People.” said SWA CEO Colin Smith.
“Auditel is already working with SWA members and during the webinar they will demonstrate success stories on how they have helped organisations to cut carbon, save costs and driver greater efficiencies across several areas of their business.
“The aim of the webinar is to help members not just to navigate their journey towards net zero, but to fund it through our cost savings and procurement solutions from within the business.”
