Seabrook has teamed up with Aunt Bessie’s to launch a line of limited-edition crisps inspired by roast dinners.
Three “quintessentially British” flavours – Roast Beef & Yorkshire, Roast Potato & Black Pepper and Roast Turkey & Stuffing – have rolled into B&M and Home Bargains in 120g sharing bags (rsp: £1.25).
According to Calbee Group UK marketing director Claire Hooper, Seabrook and Aunt Bessie’s were “two iconic British brands”.
“Our partnership celebrates classic roast dinner flavours in a shareable size, perfect for snacking with friends and family this season.”
Crisp lovers were “looking for something new and different to tempt their tastebuds” and the collaboration would allow Calbee to capitalise on that, Hooper added.
Seabrook isn’t the first fmcg supplier to team up with Aunt Bessie’s on a roast dinner-inspired release.
Northern Monk launched a duo of limited-edition beers – Roast Dinner Brown Ale (5.7% abv) and Jam & Custard Pale Ale (5% abv) – in partnership with the Yorkshire puddings stalwart in April 2020.
Aunt Bessie’s partnership with Seabrook comes after the crisps maker stuggled to meet “unprecedented demand” for its products last winter, amid weeks of shortages of Walkers lines.
