Posh meat snacks supplier Serious Pig has secured £75,000 finance to expand its business.

Provided by Positive Cashflow Finance, the money will be used to take on new suppliers and extend the Serious Pig line-up, including The Scratch and Snackling pork scratching ranges.

Serious Pig’s products are currently stocked in Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, Claridge’s and Fortnum & Mason, but it said it hoped to extend distribution to high-end supermarkets and specialist retailers this year.

The investment would give the business “a fantastic platform for growth” and enable it “to take the business to the next level”, said MD George Rice.
