First Drinks Brands is spending £1.1m on a TV advertising campaign for Campari in May. This features a walk on part by the Kray twins' associate Frankie Fraser. The initiative will be supported by a sampling campaign and a distribution drive. Marblehead has taken on the UK agency for Hebridean Whisky Liqueur. This has the character of a whisky with a caramel finish. It has 20% abv and the 50cl bottle retails at £14.99. It will be developed through consumer shows and in store sampling and has a listing at Tesco. The UK distribution of Henkell sparkling wine range from Germany is switching to Myliko International of Manchester. It was previously part of the Rémy and Associates portfolio. The range comprises Adam Brut, Henkell Trocken and Henkell Trocken Piccolo. Marketing support for the brand begins later this spring. FD Brands has linked up with the IPC magazine Woman for the first on pack promotion on the sparkling perry Belnor. The promotion offers the chance to win a year's free subscription and runs until the end of July. To catch the attention of its key female audience First Drinks Brands is staffing its Taboo Clubscene bar at the Cosmopolitan Show at Earls Court at the end of this month with male models. This is the brand's biggest sponsorship this year and is part of a £3m marketing package. For the third year running Sainsbury is using Bankside Gallery artist labels for the front of three wines. These are chardonnay, merlot and syrah from the 1997 Vin de Pays d'Oc vintage. As part of a shake-up of its retailing business, Allied Domecq is selling its international pub franchise business, John Bull. Booker has added 25cl stubbies to its exclusive label lager offering. Both Lynx Pilsner and Premium Lager are going into the format and will be sold in six packs. A case of four six packs of Premium will wholesale at £6.99. The price for Pilsner will be £5.49. UDV has signed a three year deal for Pimms to be a sub-sponsor of the Skandia Life Cowes Week, which takes place in August.
