Northern Ireland-based poultry giant Moy Park has announced the appointment of Sian Land to the role of chief financial officer.
Land, who has replaced interim CFO Helen Glennie, will be responsible for leading the supplier’s finance, legal and IT teams and providing strategic direction and advice to support the continued growth of the business.
Her appointment comes as Moy Park’s Brazilian owner, JBS, plans to list the business on the New York Stock Exchange and shift the majority of its assets to Dublin-incorporated JBS Foods International – a move that industry experts believe would herald further investment in the European market by the company, following its $1.5bn acquisition of Moy Park from Brazilian rival Marfrig last year.
Land previously worked for International Procurement & Logistics, where she was group finance director, responsible for operational and commercial financial management and IT operations. She has more than 20 years’ experience in the food industry, having held senior positions at Campbell’s Frozen Foods, Müller Dairy and Premier Foods.
“As a member of the executive leadership team, Sian will play a pivotal role in Moy Park’s continued growth and development by adding strategic value to our business,” said Moy Park chief executive Janet McCollum. “A talented CFO, Sian has an exceptional leadership record across the food sector, and we are delighted she is joining Moy Park.”
Land added: “This is a unique and exciting opportunity, and I look forward to playing a strategic role, contributing to the company’s already impressive growth.”
