Boutinot is aiming to ease consumer confusion over French wines by bringing out out a simply titled Fruits of France range.
Four single varietals Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah make up the offering and have been chosen because they are archetypal examples of wines from across the Channel.
The packaging has also been kept simple.
Managing director Deborah Brooks said: "We spent a lot of time developing the fruits of France range.
"Our research confirmed its educational tone was welcomed by men and women who were keen to try French wine but were daunted by current offerings.
"Consumers felt that at £3.99 the wines were exceptionally good value."
Further varietals in the range are planned for next year.
