Single malt whisky specialist Gordon & MacPhail is relaunching its portfolio.
The family-owned business, which sells a range of exclusive maturations of whiskies, is splitting its portfolio into five: Discovery, Distillery Labels, Connoisseurs Choice, Private Collection and Generations.
Each will include a selection of small batch, non-chill-filtered whiskies bottled as vintages, featuring labels with detailed information about the bottling,
Connoisseurs Choice will be the first to roll out this month. Prices will begin at £70 per bottle, rising to around £500.
The move would make the portfolio “more accesible for our customers, placing their desire for products with heritage, authenticity and provenance at the heart of each range” said Gordon & MacPhail director of prestige Stephen Rankin. “We want to take malt whisky lovers on a journey that will help them explore beyond their usual choices.
“Each whisky tells a story, not only about the distillery of origin and the casks maturing the spirit, but also about the time and patience devoted to nurturing each whisky to the pinnacle of its maturation potential.”
The Discovery range will roll out later in the spring, followed by Distillery Labels in the summer and Private Collection in the autumn. The Generations unveiling date is yet to be confirmed.
