Banks joined Sainsbury in 1998 and worked in store as a graduate trainee manager. She moved to head office as a trading administration specialist for bakery and her first buying role was as a savoury biscuit, Christmas cake and pudding buyer. Doran became a trading assistant in Asda’s music and video department in 1994, moving to a marketing role in general merchandising in 1995, then book buyer in 1997. After a spell at Scottish Courage Brands she rejoined Asda in its cake buying department before taking her current job.

Standing has worked for Nisa-Today’s for more than 10 years. He is responsible for categories in the chilled sector that include yogurts, desserts, pies, sausages, quiche and fish. He also buys chilled and ambient cakes. He has worked in retailing for 30 years, starting out as a management trainee in store operations at Sainsbury.
