Instant potato brand Smash has made its first move into the non instant mash arena.
Its new product Smash Browns is an instant way to produce American hash browns. Smash Browns are made with Idaho potatoes and claim to be ready in minutes in the ideal hash format of being crisp on the outside and soft in the middle.
Smash brand manager Michael Knight said: "This innovation is designed to expand the Smash brand and introduce new users to the instant potato market. It is the first in a range of developments set to revolutionise this heritage British brand."
The launch of Smash Browns will be supported by money saving coupons and recipe leaflets (rsp £2.39 for a 250g drum of 10 servings).
