Smithfield Market’s longest-established butcher is launching its own meat box delivery scheme.
ButchersBoxes.co.uk has been set up by Keevil & Keevil, which traces its origins at Smithfield back more than 160 years.
The service offers a range of meat boxes. ‘The Bodybuilder’ (rsp: £89) box contains high protein, lean meats, whereas ‘The Poacher’ (rsp: £73) box has a heavier focus on game and poultry.
There are five other boxes and an option to ‘create your own box’.
Selling online was an obvious way of keeping the business in line with the latest trends, said director Peter Landers.
“Keevils started over 300 years ago and has always kept up to date with customer needs.”
Delivery is £7.95 per box but is free on orders over £75.
ButchersBoxes.co.uk follows in the footsteps of other meat businesses that offer online ordering, such as Donald Russell.
