Onken, the chilled dessert brand, is entering the single-serve yoghurt sector with the launch of Smooch.
Smooch is made from a layer of fresh fruit topped with Onken yoghurt and will be available in three flavours - raspberry, cherry and strawberry.
Onken head of marketing Jackie Duff said: “Smooch is the ultimate healthy treat for busy mums or singles on the go. Consumers told us they were looking for a low-fat yet fruity premium yoghurt for breakfast or snacks. This launch will help to build growth in the single-serve yoghurt market in 2005.”
Smooch will be supported by a £1m TV ad campaign from July, encouraging yoghurt fans to “pucker up for a Smooch”; as well as a marketing campaign and web site relaunch.
Smooch will be available in major retailers from end-April.
