Scandinavian Tobacco is adding a new cigar to its Café Crème miniature range to reinvigorate the "slightly stagnant" tobacco sector.
Café Crème Silver Filter is being rolled out now to offer consumers an even "smoother smoking sensation". It comes in crush-proof silver tins that each contain 10 cigars (rsp: £4.02).
The launch forms part of the tobacco giant's strategy to resurrect the tobacco market. This kicked off with the introduction of the Café Crème miniature range in March last year.
"A lack of genuine innovation has led to the UK tobacco sector becoming slightly stagnant, but we are bucking this trend with our second major product in the past 18 months," said Alastair Williams, trade marketing manager.
Advertising in wholesale outlets and the trade press will support the launch later this year.
