Snappy Shopper boosted online orders by 46% for 50 stores following the return of its 1p bundle promotion across England and Wales.
The promotion ran from 28 to 30 September and allowed customers to stock up on a multipack of juice, six-pack of crisps, fruit, 400g bread and sandwich filling in a 1p bundle. Over 3,000 bundles were sold.
“Supporting local retailers and the communities which they serve is at the heart of everything we do at Snappy Shopper,” said Snappy Shopper head of B2B marketing Dael Links.
“Being able to offer a helping hand, via our penny bundles, is extremely rewarding, especially given the tough financial climate throughout the UK at present.
“We’re all about listening to our retailers and their customers, so I can confirm we will be back with more penny bundle offers and other special promos, following the fantastic feedback which we received last week.”
The promotion was last run in Scotland during the summer with more than 150 convenience stores. It aimed to ease the expense for families who were preparing for their children returning to school amid the cost of living crisis.
Snappy Shopper has told The Grocer it will be launching another bundle promotion later this month with selected retailers throughout Scotland, England and Wales.
It will be announcing full details in due course and promises to include well-known household brands.
