Those in search of drinks suppliers at this year's IFE will benefit from a designated section for beverages.

At the previous event in 2005, more than 10,000 people were looking to specifically source beers, wines and spirits and a further 6,000 came looking for soft drinks.

In response to rising demand, organisers have earmarked a section dedicated to all beverages for the record number of drinks suppliers ­exhibiting this year.

In response to changing consumer tastes there will be many health and energy drinks on show as well as more exotic products.

Stute Foods will be unveiling new packs of its ambient Fruit Smoothies range at its stand (NP3519). The new 500ml and 250ml packs, which have a 12-month shelf-life, are aimed at vending machines, foodservice, sandwich shops and c-stores.

Stute Foods will be showcasing a pomegranate drink that it says is the first single-serve pomegranate juice drink on the market. Pomegranate Fruit Juice Drink is aimed at Wholesalers and c-stores.

Other healthy products on show include a vegetable and fruit drink from Austrian firm Nöm AG on stand SP4359; The Feel Good Drinks Company will be showing off its apple, kiwi & lime; orange, mandarin & tangerine; and raspberry, blueberry & apple mixed juices at stand SS4619; and Zummo UK has a brand new juice bar concept at the show on stand ST4755.

Brazilian company Pulpa will launch three new products into its Pulpa Acai range. Acai berries are said to contain more antioxidants than blueberries and are packed with nutrients. Pulpa Acai will be offering smoothies and other acai products from its juice bar at stand SS4636.

Cocofina, a coconut water drink, will be available on stand ND1362. Made from 100% natural coconut water the drinks are rich in vitamin C.

Another exotic proposition, Teagra, is a new drink made from grape must, tea and wine from Italian-based BIFIM SRL on stand SS4623. Tea also features in new drinks from The Hampstead Tea & Coffee Company (stand NL3106) and the Macro Group Handel GmbH (stand NO3434).

As for energy drinks, The Juice Doctor is promoting its Hydration Fix drinks, which will be available at stand SS4614, and Infuzions' Zipp Slenderize will be found on stand ST4715. n
