Today's Group member Soho Cash & Carry has closed one of its three Midlands depots and moved into a bigger 45,000 sq ft facility.
The multimillion-pound facility in Smethwick has increased its floorspace 150% and would allow it to offer a more extensive product range, it said. MD Bally Bahra added that he planned to open four more depots shortly, increasing its estate to seven.
"We are extremely proud of our Midlands roots and are committed to the needs of our customers and our suppliers in delivering service with integrity. Soho Cash & Carry's main aim is to help independent retailers to stay competitive and grow in this difficult economic climate. The new, expanded depot will assist the company in helping many more retailers in the area and nationwide."
Soho has also launched a website which allows customers nationwide to order online in five clicks.
