A risqué three week TV advertising campaign for Heinz microwaveable soups breaks on October 30.
Heinz's four bestselling canned varieties cream of tomato, cream of chicken, vegetable and cream of mushroom soups are now available in microwave pots (rsp 79p).
Both 30 second executions in the £2m marketing drive focus on the benefit of the soup being ready in just two minutes. In the first ad a couple are lying in bed together, the man sighs and gives the woman a cheeky smile. She hops out and walks over to the microwave just as it pings.
In the second spot a balding man is given a two minute haircut.
Julian Dunn, Heinz general manager, soups, said: "Both ads really get the message across that microwavable soup is ready in next to no time."
