Southern Co-operatives is to expand an in-store tie-up with specialist retailer The Hampshire Delicatessen to four further supermarkets.
The independent deli already has a concession in Southern Co-op's Wickham store, set up 18 months ago after the lease ran out on its high street premises nearby.
Two new 'shops' in Co-op stores will open by November with another two in the new year. As in Wickham, they will be branded The Hampshire Delicatessen and will be independent of the supermarket.
Deli owner Philip Harris does not pay rent, rates or utility bills, but gives a percentage of sales to the Co-op each week.
