Spar is launching a new consumer press campaign to promote its own label range and fresh credentials.
The retail group plans to spend £300,000 on the campaign, which will feature in women's magazines such as Good Housekeeping, She, Easy Living and Prima.
The campaign will be run in two phases, the first kicking off this month and running until November. The second phase of the campaign, which will also run in Bella, Hello and OK!, will be launched next March.
It would highlight fresh and healthy food options available "just around the corner", said Spar.
"This campaign draws the customer's attention to the quality of Spar's fresh offer," said Spar UK advertising manager Cornelia Closhen.
"The adverts will focus on the quality of Spar brand products and show how Spar is close to the customer in terms of offering easy meals to make people's lives easier without having to compromise on quality," she added.
