Spar will start stocking the NPD from 20 February

Spar is launching Reese’s Peanut Butter White Bar in another symbol group exclusive with the Hershey Company and Euro Food Brands.

From 20 February, Spar will be the only symbol group stocking the 90g chocolate bar across England, Scotland and Wales for six weeks, at a promotional offer for £1.50 (rsp: £2.10).

The NPD blends “rich, creamy peanut butter with a smooth white chocolate flavour coating”, and is a “unique treat ideal for sharing, snacking, or gifting to white chocolate and peanut butter lovers alike”, the Hershey Company and Euro Food Brands said.

“We are thrilled to launch the new Reese’s Peanut Butter White Bar as a Spar exclusive,” said Spar UK trading manager Gemma Turner.

“This six-week opportunity will attract footfall, enhance customer engagement, and strengthen our brand’s relationship with shoppers by offering unique, limited-time products. These exclusives position Spar as a leader in innovation and set us apart from competitors.”

Hershey Company UK country manager Lara Duncan added: “The iconic Reese’s brand is committed to creating extraordinary treats that excite our consumers. The Reese’s Peanut Butter White Bar is a delicious innovation designed to thrill white chocolate and peanut butter enthusiasts.

“This collaboration with Spar is a testament to our commitment to innovation, accelerating our growth in convenience, and bringing a one-of-a-kind product to our consumers.”

The convenience exclusive for Spar adds to the symbol group’s previous wins in being the first to market with NPD, including Kit Kat Chunky Crunchy Double Choc and Nestlé’s Aero Strawberry sharing bar.

Spar was also the first symbol group in the convenience channel to stock Prime drinks, thanks to a collaboration with its US distributor Congo Brands, and also attained an exclusive convenience deal to stock YouTube star MrBeast’s Feastables chocolate bars in 2023.
