Mars' new look is being extended to drinks with a special edition Mars Extra Choc milk drink.
Sporting the same new livery as the parent countline chocolate bar (as exclusively revealed in The Grocer, March 16), the new drink boasts 40% extra drinking chocolate.
Four Square, the drinks division of Mars UK Ltd, said it hoped the newcomer would help it compete in the more mainstream chocolate milk drinks category.
Available for a limited period only, from April until December, it will have the same rsp as the original recipe Mars drink, selling at 59p for a 330g bottle.
Four Square is specifically hoping to target those who haven't tried the Mars drink yet, as well as females who may be looking for an "indulgent treat or evening reward".
A spokesman said the new drink, which is being supported by a nationwide marketing programme, would bring in additional, incremental profit.
