Beer importer Pierhead Purchasing has added a Tasmanian lager to its portfolio.
Boag’s St George (4.8% abv) is being pitched as a more easy-drinking alternative to Boag’s Premium (5.2% abv), which Pierhead already distributes in the UK. It will have an rsp of between £1.40 and £1.80 for a 33cl bottle.
“We are confident the beer will establish itself in the imported bottled beer market, which is lacking an authentic Aussie lager of this calibre,” said Michael Cook, Pierhead’s director of imported beer. “With consumers becoming more experimental in their beer selections, St George offers retailers an excellent opportunity.”
