Suffolk brewery St Peter’s has unveiled a non-alcoholic golden ale.
St Peter’s Without Gold is the brewer’s second alcohol-free beer. It became available via the brand’s website earlier this month, ahead of an official launch next week (rsp: £1.49/500ml).
The NPD was “completely different from other alcohol-free beers, most of which are conventional lagers and often thin and watery”, said St Peter’s head brewer Steve Groves. “We expect the alcohol-free market to grow to 10% of the overall drinks category within the next 10 years.”
Without Gold is the latest in a string of non-alcoholic beer launches by craft brewers. BrewDog’s Nanny State has picked up numerous supermarket listings since the start of the year, and Innis & Gunn added Innis & None pale ale in January.
