Starbucks has opened a new multi-sensory concept store in London serving select alcohol and freshly prepared meals.
The first of its kind in Europe, Starbucks Reserve in Covent Garden, London, is second globally to the flagship store in the company’s birthplace of Seattle.
The store features an exclusive menu of small plates, baked-in-store breakfast pastries as well as lunch wraps, which will make it the only Starbucks in the world to offer food made on site.
Food can be served with coffee or a choice of eight selected red and white wines and three speciality beers including Estrella Galicia and London brews Five Point and London Alt.
A range of exclusive coffee recipes, and a choice of innovative brewing methods, is available, including vacuum-pressed, syphon and pour over, priced from £2.60 to £6.
“The store at Upper St Martin’s Lane is a really special store in the heart of the vibrant London scene,” said Starbucks VP of store design Ad De Hond.
“We wanted to create a buzz with the design which focuses on a sensorial experience and reflects our commitment to creating and presenting the highest quality and innovation. I’m delighted with the result and to see how the store connects with local communities in design, culture and fashion.”
Mobile order and pay, power mat wireless charging stations are the latest in technology features as well as the fastest possible WiFi with transfer rates of up to 100 mbps.
